MINISTER NOEL DEMPSEY LAUNCHES ECS LOGISTICS' NEW 40,000 SQ. FOOT PREMISES

ECS Logistics and Express Courier Services have announced the expansion of their company premises to a new 40,000 square foot warehouse. Mr. Noel Dempsey TD, Minister for Transport, launched the new warehouse in The Clonshaugh Business Park today, Monday the 18th of May. ECS are specialists in secure warehousing, stock management, product picking and fulfillment and nationwide distribution.

The new premises are on a 2.2 acre site and with sufficient loading bays to cater for 10+ trailers in the morning rush period from 5.00am to 9.30am. With a positioning of their 50,000 square foot storage and office space facilities in Santry and Clonshaugh they are both less than 5 minutes access on or off the M50. The close proximity to the Airport and port tunnel also allows easy and fast access to 80% of all freight that comes into Ireland. Minister Dempsey said: “In these difficult times it really is good news to see such growth in a quality business like ECS. ECS is a solid company delivering solid results for its customers. This new 40,000 square foot premises will help ECS to provide an even better quality service and allow it to grow into the future. It is companies like this confidently planning for the future that will help Ireland along the road to economy recovery".

Formed in November 2007 by David Cunnigham, Paddy Ryan and Jack Carroll it has been developed from a same day courier service working throughout Ireland to providing trailer stripping for freight forwarding companies from UK, Italy and Holland. David Cunnigham of ECS says that their new premises “gives us a great opportunity to service our customers both nationally and internationally and that given the current economic challenges is evidence of how companies are still excelling”.

ECS facilities are designed as an EU Inbound logistics hub, handling inbound freight/cargo from the UK, Portugal, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands through overseas partners on a daily basis. With long and short term warehousing space they use their own specifically designed technology to ensure full control over goods received, stored and distributed, while they also provide weekly stock reports to clients to guarantee complete efficiency. Other services include picking orders for distribution to Ireland and abroad, nationwide courier, promotional logistics and trailer off loading.
